May 1775

Hi my name is William and I am married and have a family of four children. There names are Bobby who is 18, Ron who is 16, Arnold who is 15, and last but not least Frank who is 12. I just heard that the minutemen clashed at Legington and Concord with the British because they were trying to take the weapons that were held in Concord. Also earlier I heard that Patrick Henry gave his "Give me freedom, or give me death" speech on the 23rd of last month. So hopefully things go well from now on with the war. The three oldest are wantin to go fight in the war. We will see how this goes.

March 1777

Just heard big news that George Washington had a victory at Princeton. He also had to spend the long winter in Morristown NJ.
